Best Botkier Hobo Handbag Reviews

I LOVE Botkier bags and this one does not disappoint! I have the Botkier Venice Hobo in bright pink, but also wanted something a little more subtle for different situations that wasn't black or brown, as I like bags and accessories that have a little "pop" to them, and that are a color of leather that I can use where I live (in Hawaii; dark leather doesn't really work here well, and leather in general doesn't quite fit the climate, so one has to find just the right thing...). So, I got the "navy" Eden Hobo, which is mostly a kelly green cowhide (so, soft and supple leather) with strips of a brighter-than-most navy lambskin (shinier leather - my entire Venice Hobo consists of this) on each side. The colors are perfect - they do pop, especially the green (the navy is much more subdued, which is good because it balances out the fact that it is mostly a Kelly green bag), but the green at the same time manages to be classy and not at all garish.OMG it is beautiful!!! I had seen it on sale on Nordstrom.com, but didn't buy it because it was the holidays and I couldn't justify it to myself, but I just couldn't get it out of my mind! I had checked amazon, but they either didn't have it at the time or it was full price (can't remember). I couldn't stop thinking of it, so I checked Nordstrom again and it was full price... Then I checked amazon and it was almost 40% off (about $30 cheaper than it had been on sale for at nordstrom.com!!!) it came very fast, even to Hawaii…

I love botkier bags in general, so it is no surprise I liked this hobo. I was looking for a stylish work bag, that would fit my 13" MacAir, and this bag fit the bill perfectly. It has an oversized pocket in the front for all the laptop accessories, and the inside pockets generously fit my wallet and cell phone. My laptop, with its neoprene cover fit snugly in the bag, and there is still room for additional paper folders. This bag is perfect for looking stylish while traveling for work.Some general considerations: It is fairly light for a leather bag, so it will also work as an everyday bag. A word of caution if you are not a sparkly fan. The 'gold' sheen is distinct, so this bag will stand out. The bag did lose a star only because the zipper is not as easy to close as you would expect, but I'm hoping this will improve with wear.

I have several Botkier bags and love them! So I was excited to get this bag. It is a major disappointment! The leather feels like plastic. It is not supple and thick like my other Botkier bags. It feel like something that was made for a discount store and I find it hard to believe it ever sold for the list price. If I had seen this in person, I would pass it right by. It does not look nearly as nice as the photo and I suspect mine was someone else's return as it came IN the dustbag and usually the dustbags are IN the purse. This is going back tomorrow!

I'm normally not a big Botkier fan but this bag is PERFECT in every possible way! The leather is spectacular and the details are just beautiful. It fits so comfy and perfectly on my shoulder. Even though the size is very large, it drapes to a perfect size. I just love this bag!!!

Absolutely beautiful bag.. The leather is amazingly soft yet durable great quality. This bag sits under my arm and does not slide down. Classic look with an edge. Will not easily get tired of this style and will probably enjoy this bag for years!!! The shoulder strap is not adjustable although it almost looks like it would be. This does not bother me since it is so comfy to carry just the way it is...

I was so excited to receive the bag, but after first use I came home to notice that 4 of the rivets either fell out or were missing upon receipt.I contacted Amazon as noted online that there were no more in stock, and got an auto-response that I could return. I would have hoped Amazon would have taken responsibility and offered a more agreeable solution but no. I have not been able to find a source yet to match or repair. That said, love the bag if I would have only have not received a damaged one.

I bought this bag in two colors, Violet and Black. When I got the Violet it was so lightweight I was amazed. The lambskin keeps it light, while the style is large and roomy. I loved it so much, I went right out and bought it in Black as well. The leather feels so soft and it a pleasure to touch. It sits comfortably on the shoulder, and I love the magnetic-close slip pocket on the front. I love everything about this bag, and might still get another color to round off the collection. It holds a lot, looks wonderful, and is very well made.

This is currently my favorite hobo bag. The color is gorgeous and the material is so supple! I've already received admiring looks from my friends. It's a perfect size - not too big, not too small, and fits under my arm like a glove! You will have to search far and wide to find another bag that meets the quality of this hobo!
